Linked in Locals have quickly spread around the world, taking online networking offline and helping to build stronger local business communities. I’ve been involved in the Portsmouth event since it launched last Spring and also attended the launch event in Poole, and they’ve been amazing. I’ve met and drawn for so many new people, and the events really helped my 2018 goal of building my local client base.
At Linked in Local I’ve evolved the Networking Wall to draw on A5 postcards. I had these printed blank on one side and with my own branding on the other. I chat to the delegates, draw them a mini-story about their business, invite them to share the drawing on social media and then they can come and collect their card and take it with them at the end of the evening. Everyone loves the idea and by chatting to people I’ve been able to make connections between businesses.
This week we are holding the 4th Linked in Local Portsmouth and I will be there graphic recording the panel discussion and drawing some mini-stories. I’ve also made some selfie frames!
