Celebrating Business in Portsmouth
I was delighted to be invited to capture business stories at an event celebrating the success of the Outset Start and Grow programme. The event was held at the gorgeous Queens Hotel in Southsea on 22 September and attended by some of the businesses supported by the programme.
Outset Start and Grow was a fantastic EU funded programme delivered by YTKO and Portsmouth City Council. It supported new and early years businesses with funding and support to start and grow.
The event included presentations from some of the businesses supported by the programme and I challenged myself to draw each of the speakers. I also included a sketch for each of the businesses attending the celebration event providing a fun graphic record of the day for the organisers and businesses involved. I love drawing at events like this – it’s great fun chatting to other business owners and graphically capturing their businesses in just a few minutes.

Although this programme has now closed Portsmouth City Council continue to support new and existing businesses.
